OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

Can you believe it’s fall already? Where has the summer gone? We certainly hope your summer was busy stitching, knitting, and having a great time! Are you anxious to get started on some new projects? Are you thinking about Christmas? What about cold weather projects? Before long, the snow will begin to fly and you just know you’ll want that new warm hat or a snuggly new quilt! So, come on in, and let’s get started!

Newsletter
The first thing you’ll notice is our new and improved newsletter. Or at least, we hope you think that it’s improved! We are going to try to communicate with you on a more regular basis so you can know what’s new in the shop and when new classes are added to the schedule. Let us know if there are any other topics you would like to see included.

Our Blog!
We’ve actually arrived into the 21st century with our new blog. Come visit us here and see what’s cooking! We have a dynamic calendar, so you’ll be able to see classes as they are posted. AND-you can also subscribe to the calendar so you can be notified of any changes as they happen, if you’d like. Let us know what you think!

The SALE!
It’s hard to believe we’ve been open for 13 months already! Most people celebrate their anniversary at the one-year mark, but those of you who know us understand that we’re usually a day late and a dollar short!

Our week-long anniversary sale will start Tuesday, October 16th and run through Saturday, October 20th. During the sale week the Chick’s Coop (our classroom) will be converted into our clearance shop. And what a clearance there will be!

Fabric located in the Coop will be $6.00 per yard (1 yard minimum), and yarn, books, patterns, needles, and notions will be 35% off. Everything in the main part of the shop will be discounted at 15%. So now’s the time to shop for those special projects, gifts, and for your stash building, too!

The Shop
You need to stop by the shop and see what we’ve been up to. The entire shop has had a face-lift of sorts, and we’re blaming it all on Charlie!

Super Saturdays
We’re so excited about Super Saturdays, and hope that you will be, too! The second Saturday of each month, there will be a demonstration of either a new tool that’s on the market, or a technique, or a cool tip to show you. The demo will always run from 10 AM to noon, and there might be some surprises associated with it, so don’t be left out! We’ll kick off the first one during our Sale on October 20th. Come join the fun!

FEATURED QUILTER OF THE MONTH

Jeanette England – She describes herself as beginning to intermediate quilter, and has been quilting for about 4 years.

Need help with a design? Jeanette did! She knew she need to get a baby quilt completed with the help of 14 kindergartners from Stilwell Elementary. She came into the shop, and walked out with the complete scoop of how to let the kidlets personalize it, and a week later, it was ready to go to be gifted. Do stop by if you need help with ideas, or color, or just to share your work. You never know! You might be the next featured quilter of the month!

Way to go, Jeanette!
